Is there a formula for making art?

This museum goes wherever you are as long as you have device with internet connection. In other words, the art showcased here travels without sending objects around the world.

Art history is very much about the history of objects, however objects are the result of ideas. NIMCA is an art and culture center that aims to push cooperative art on the internet and abroad. In this museum you won’t find any objects. The housed projects consist on ideas and formulas that may be used to make art. Our overall goal is to raise the profile of major players in the world of contemporary art and to encourage creativity. Our main office is located inside the Variable Network State. NIMCA is at once a vital cultural center, an educational institution, and the heart of an international network of artists which tools of trade include the internet.

As a non-profit art and technology center dedicated to exposing broad and diverse audiences to new technologies and media arts, we want to establish and demonstrate internet media as a significant genre of cultural production. NIMCA provides a fertile context and state-of-the-art tools for digital research and experimentation. It is a lively incubator of creativity and thought, where artists and visitors actively engage with generating culture.

NIMCA programs are supported by funding from the Nimda Commerce Bank, and the Department of Cyberspace Heritage through the Nimda Telecomms Fund.
